Book excerpt/synopsis : Beyond Normality covers a broad range of subjects—everything from human behavior, to feminism and sex, to child rearing, to violence, to drugs and alcohol, to changes in society and the oppressions of modern life. From family orientation, to religion and mankind consciousness. Readers are asked to consider Beyond Normality as a “modern guide for complete internal harmony”. Numerous themes run throughout this work, the most persistent and prevalent is the belief on the growing disconnect between what is natural and what has come to be thought of as normal. There is, in the author’s view, a great deal that is wrong with modern society, and much of it stems from our insistence on shielding ourselves from the rigors of the natural order of things.

Book excerpt/synopsis : I have forgotten myself for many days while I was hearing the words of God, writing them, and editing them in the touch of the Holy Spirit since the day I began to experience the presence of God. When I was touched by the Holy Spirit, my body and mind were not mine, but these became instruments of God. I was I, but I was not I; I was I, but I could not move as I wish. Sometimes the quick voice of God came down and I wrote it. Sometimes the voice turned into sentences so that I was amazed to see them come into my mind and I wrote them down. These articles were not written one by one. When the Lord gave dozens of titles at a time, He also gave articles according to them. So I wrote down them. Sometimes I wrote articles without titles, and after writing He gave the titles. When I continue to write randomly, the former and the latter are often matched. Whatever message I received and wrote, I did not do anything for it. I wrote them only as an instrument of the Lord. And sometimes I entered into the hearts of the people the Holy Spirit has opened and I heard and wrote what their inner voices. There are also some articles that are based on what I heard from the conversations of others. In the mysterious and incredible world of God and the ministry of the Holy Spirit, I fell down before Him for twenty-six months in order to write these articles. The number of titles I received from Him was over one thousand and two hundred, and the number of articles I received was over nine hundred. When I received my first article, I prayed and God forcefully gave it to me. However, at this time I just pray in front of the keyboard in order to receive messages. I hope these messages from the Lord will reveal the greatness of the Lord and thereby I and all people glorify the Lord. I hope that the leaders and people who have broken God’s heart will turn to the right attitude because of these messages of the Lord, and those who have made the Lord’s heart sad will be the ones who please Him. Finally, at the end of each message of the Lord is provided the date or year of writing.

Download PDF or read online Prayers of Jewish Women Book by Markus H. McDowell and published by Mohr Siebeck. This book was released on 2006 with total page 304 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt/synopsis : Markus McDowell examines how the literature of the Second Temple period portrays women at prayer through an examination of the literary context and character of those prayers. The goal of this work is a greater understanding of how women were portrayed in literary sources and an offering of some fresh insights for the study of women's religious and social roles in the ancient world. The texts are analyzed and categorized within five areas: social location, content, form, occasion, and gender perspective. The prayers are also compared and contrasted with men's prayers in the same sources. The analysis includes locating (as much as possible) the historical, literary, and cultic context of each document in which these prayers appear. By examining all prayers in these texts uttered by women (not just prayers of named or prominent women), and then comparing them with all the prayers of men in those same texts, certain patterns appear. This study adds to our knowledge of women and religion in Second Temple Judaism by primarily exploring patterns that appear among the prayers in the literature of the Second Temple period. While there are fewer prayers by women than men in this literature, the prayers of women are not portrayed as significantly different from those of men in terms of social location, content, form, or occasion. At the same time, the prayers of women exhibit other patterns of language - and in a minor way, form and occasion - that differ from the prayers of men.
